November

November became the month to refinish the bedroom downstairs.  What a project but it was greatly needed.  It makes a big difference with actual insulation in the walls. :)  Harold & I have decided that sheet rocking ceilings is not for the elderly.  Good gravy.  The room is small and real cozy.  Just glad to have another project complete.

Harold is texturing the walls.  We had no light so tried just having me hold a flashlight and he texture.  For our marriage I thought of the halogen lights in the shop.  Brought them in and presto  -lights and a saved marriage.

Kept paneling around closet and entry way just to keep a different look.
Room finished except putting clothes away.  YIPPEE :)

Halloween 2016

Harold got to help judge the chili in our Ward Halloween party.  Muffin tins work wonders when you have 30 different chilis to taste test.  He survived with a bottle of milk.

Ragged mountain in September

Went and spent four days on Ragged.  We toured around the mountain to see all the work that had been accomplished.  It is nice when you have equipment to work with.  We were thinking about putting in a permanent water slide but child care says we have to have treated water going down the slide.  We are leaving the slide alone.  Everyone is thoroughly enjoying it.
Cabin area around 8 and 9.  Took out alot of the brush and put the fire ring further back.
 Water slide and zipline
Containers to put things in and a roof will be built over the two so the missionaries have an area to work in.
 Bear tracks
Helicopter flying in people to go fishing
We stopped to help Gary Volk out with his dozer.
Helped Brad Swenson put in bunks, doors, and windows in new shelter.

Salt Lake #4 John and Family

Got to visit with our homeless son John and his family.  It was fun catching up with all the happenings of the grandchildren and seeing the progress on their house.

Salt Lake 3 - Temples

Thursday morning we went to the Provo City Center Temple and to the Payson Temple.  We did an endowment in the first and sealings in the second.  Provo City is full of stairs.  It is a youngster temple :)  They did a beautiful job restoring the tabernacle.  Payson was interesting in that our sealer had been a missionary in Fruita in 1955.  He taught lessons to Floyd White and he wanted to know if the man had ever joined the church.  Told him yes and that his son was the Stake Patriarch (Dean White) :)

Salt Lake #2 - Silver Lake

We went up to Silver Lake on Wednesday and Friday.  It is a chance to get away from the crowds and into cooler temps.  There is  a walk around the lake that is a mile long.  You get to see deer, beaver, ducks, and sometimes moose. :)

Salt Lake Trip #1

We had to go over to Utah for a week so I could watch and participate in patch testing with Crystal and Dr. Powell.  We always go to the zoo to see the babies.  There were baby elephants, lions, and giraffes.  We loved the raptor show also.

Moab and Arches

We didn't get to go camping this year because of weather and the yard sale so we decided to do the tour thing around Moab and Monticello.  Our first stop was to the Moab Giants.  Kids loved the dinosaur walk.  They also liked to play tic-tac-toe in the museum with dinosaur tracks.  Temp was 105 degrees.

Second stop was the Arches.  We hiked to the Sand Dune Arch and then to Broken Arch.  Mr. Cody deemed himself the leader.

Monticello and Fort Bluff

We got up early and ate breakfast in the church parking lot.  We then headed to Bluff Fort in Bluff, UT.  They have really put in the work and have some great activities.  Kids loved all the activities.  Only problem was the temperature again.  We were at another 105 degree day.
Thank you Jordans for all your hard work!!!

Harold and Carrie discussing garden tips
We parked in an RV camp so that Carrie could have unlimited electricity and WIFI for her work.
Hike west of Monticello trying to get cool. :)

Week 2 of Jordan visit

Second week was a time to play.  We went ATV riding and went to Get Air at the Silo.  This is a place I think we will rent for the family reunion,  One more pic of Kaylynn's birthday.
