Stake Temple Day and B- 52

Last Thursday we headed to Monticello for our Stake Temple day on Friday plus it was our shift at the temple this weekend.  We took the opportunity to hike to the B-52 wing just north of Monticello, UT.  On 24 Jan 1963 the Felon 22 tore apart in the in the air above Monticello and scattered parts far and wide.  This part of the wing is still on a bluff.  Pretty interesting piece of history.  Friday we worked from 5:50 a.m. to 9;20 p.m. at the temple for our Stake Temple Day.  There were right at 3000 ordinances that were performed this day.  Since we were at the temple Thursday night we performed an all ordinance workers Baptism for the Dead and did 97 names and then turned around and did 60 names in initiatory.  Totally awesome weekend.!!! :)
Challenge the grandchildren to look up the history of this B-52

This is one of the landing gears.  You can see this from the road when you are headed north.
