This past weekend we spent the majority of the time at the Monticello Temple.
We went down Thursday and did Baptisms for the Dead. We had four couples, Bryce Cleghorn, John Harrison, and us. Harold did the baptizing of the women and 20 names for the men and then Scott Forsgren baptized Harold for the last of the men names. We had a great time. The Temple President let us take over the baptistry under his direction for an hour. Everyone got baptized for twenty names. YAHOO!!
On Friday we were at the temple by 6:00 a.m. and were shift coordinators until noon and then officiated in an endowment session, did initiatory as a worker and then as a patron. We worked a total of 13 hours with only a 30 minute break. We were so tired that we even passed up a shake from the Shake Shack :( Almost 3000 ordinances were performed) We used only a couple of temple names. Everyone brought their own or someone else had extras. What an amazing day!!!
Saturday we were at the temple by 6:15 am and worked in the place of a couple that was gone. We left for home around 12:30 p.m. Stopped and had lunch with Kohls in Moab. It is so fun to visit with them.
